Clearview AI fined €600,000 in Italy for failure to appoint GDPR Article 27 Representative

Over the last couple of years, Clearview AI has been investigated and sanctioned by a number of EU data protection authorities for their uncompliant data processing activities. Italy’s contribution appears to be the most significant yet, and for the first time includes sanction for Clearview’s ongoing failure to appoint a Representative in the EU, as required by GDPR Article 27.
